우리 대학은 2003년 7월 18일 호주 Queesland주에 위치한 Griffith University의 Nathan 캠퍼스에서 우리대학 이충엽 학장을 비롯하여 Griffith University의 Glyn Davis 부총장 등 양 대학 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 두 대학의 자매결연 협정식을 가졌다.
 
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, Busan, Korea; and Griffith University, Queensland, Australia Individually a party and collectively parties to this Memorandum.
The parties believe that:
1. Mutual benefit can be derived from scholarly interaction, cultural interchange, co- operative research and other
   forms of academic collaboration:

2. The parties regard the following areas of co-operation as desirable and feasible:

(ⅰ) Exchange of students and academic staff members;
(ⅱ) Collaborative research and possible exchange of academic papers;
(ⅲ) Mutual assistance in the preparation of seminars, conferences and workshops;
(ⅳ) Exchange of academic publication materials or other information;
(ⅴ) Co-operation in training projects for specified areas of development;
(ⅵ) Opportunities for other forms of co-operation, such as the delivery of award and non-award courses;
(ⅶ) Implementation of articulation arrangements, which would credit for prior study.
 
3. The terms of specific areas of co-operation shall be further considered and agreed upon in writing by the parties
   prior to the initiation of any particular activity.

4. Any specific program will be subject to mutual consent, availability of funds and approval of both parties.

5. The parties agree that this Memorandum of Understanding is not a formal legal agreement giving rise to any legal
   relationship, rights, duties or consequences, but it is only a definite expression and record of the purpose of the parties
   to which the parties are bound in honour only.

6. This Memorandum of Understanding will be effective when both parties have signed this Memorandum and shall remain
   in force until terminated by either party giving the other party 6 months notice.
